Did you know that sourdough bread has ears?
You might have noticed that artisan bread doesn’t typically have a smooth crust on top buta crunchy flap. This is often called an ear.
Even before I knew anything about sourdough baking, scoring and sourdough ears, I noticed this on the sourdough bread I would buy at my favorite bakery. It always reminded me of a bunny.
With the Easter Weekend coming up, I asked my favorite illustrator to create a sourdougheaster bunny from one of my bread pictures.
